A temporary relief may be achieved by using medicated/formulated toothpastes or gels specific for sensitivity like Colgate Sensitive, Thersmoseal, Sensodyne etc. The mode of application for acheiving desired results is to apply by means of a finger onto the affected area and rub it on. These toothpastes are medicated pastes made for decreasing sensitivity of teeth. These toothpasts are not meant to be used regularly. These pastes should not be use more than 2 months and also should not be used without prescription of a dentist as there are many reasons for having tooth sensitivity. If its due to a cavity getting deeper day by day then these toothpastes may not work as in that case your tooth requires a filling or rct depending on the severity of sensitivity your tooth has.
