Hi doctor. My baby gal is 4 months old. I observed the area under her diaper often becomes red whenever I use diaper. As soon as I remove the diaper, it becomes normal after sometime if kept removed. Is this a sign of diaper rash? What should I do? I applied chicoo nappy cream on that area. Shall I use some powder? Me and my husband having traveling job and most of the time have to take baby with us. So can't leave baby without diapers too. Pls help.

Better not to use diapers as they are known to cause diaper dermatitis. Leave the area open and dry.

Do not leave her on a wet diaper, change frequently. If there is itching use an antifungal cream. Keep her dry. Bentonight clayapplication has good results abroad

My baby is getting diaper rash very frequently. We are not using any diapers due to this, but still getting rash. We apply vaseline and zinc oxide cream regularly. When the rash gets worse we apply Eumosone-M which helps to get rid of the rashes but after 2 days it again appears. We are using himalaya wipes. Can you suggest a cream, which can apply regularly as Eumosone-M contains steroid and should not be used regularly?

Yes I agree, we should not use steroids very often. Try to consult a dermatologist. Avoid rugging the nappy area very often, just use cotton cloth as nappy. Avoid diapers.
