Hi
Firstly please relax. Stress is a major factor in reducing milk supply. Remember all mammals produce enough milk for any number of babies they produce. It is good that you do not want to use supplements, and want to breast feed. Remember the following points:
1) Baby is only 4 weeks old. Both of you are learning. Enjoy the sensation of holding and talking to the baby. Feed him every 2 hours. He may suck a few times, and sleep, and again wake up, suck and sleep. Squeeze milk from your breast onto the baby's lips and let him learn to suck
2) Breast need to feel heavy for everyone and all the time. Massage the breasts and feed the baby. The more the baby sucks, and the more you relax, more milk will be produced.
3) Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated. Garlic, oats, fenugreek are all said to increase milk flow. Include them in your diet.
4) Do not bother about people telling you milk might not be enough. Breast heaviness, and milk overflow does not happen to every woman. And baby crying does not mean hunger. It can mean wet nappies, need to burp, and simply need to be held. You can personal message me if you have further doubts.
Take care. Enjoy motherhood.
