Information about Gelusil Mps Tablet Mint

Gelusil MPS tablet is a therapeutic digestive medication containing a balanced mix of Aluminium hydroxide, Dimethicone, Magnesium hydroxide and Magnesium Aluminium Silicate Hydrate. The Aluminium hydroxide is an antacid, which neutralises increased stomach acid. Dimethicone is an antiflatulent which helps in releasing the gas. Magnesium hydroxide and Magnesium Aluminium Silicate Hydrate is a laxative that increases water in the intestine and reduces stomach acid. It is also sugar-free and is generally well tolerated.
Gelusil MPS is a widely trusted antacid in India providing quick relief from acidity, heartburn & gas.
For immediate effect, one to two tablets to be chewed half to one hour after meals or whenever symptoms are pronounced.

Dear Lybrate user, Gelusil have been used extensively during pregnancy in large doses with no reports of congenital defects. It had not been reported to haveany side effects, and had been approved by USFDA. Please take as per advised by concerned doctor.

it has not side effect. eat less acidic foods, avoid more tea. you can take lemon tea. fiber foods.

My age is 26 year I am working in bank and most of the time I have to sit continuously. From last month I feel a pinch inside my chest over heart and sometimes a small burning in my chest. Problem of acidity and gas is also present. I took gelusil syrup and pudin hara tablets but find relax for small period and the same problem again occurs. Please suggest me whom to consult general physician or cardiologist. If some home remedies possible please suggest.

It could be because of gastritis or something cardiac. You should definitely meet a general physician and get ecg done to rule out ischaemia. And if its just gastritis. Here are some home remedies for you :- - Skip the aerated drinks as well as the caffeine. Opt for herbal tea instead.  - Have a glass of lukewarm water everyday.  - Include banana, watermelon and cucumber in your daily diet. Watermelon juice is great for curing acidity.  - Nariyal paani is known to soothe the system if you suffer from acidity.  - Drink a glass of milk - everyday.  - Have your last meal at least two to three hours before you hit the sack.  - Keeping long intervals between meals is another cause for acidity. Have small but regular meals.  - Try to avoid pickles, spicy chutneys, vinegar, etc.  - Boil some mint leaves in water and have a glass of this after meals.
