Tolenorm Ointment is a combination of Wrightia tinctoria, Psorolea corylifolia, Indigofera tinctoria and Oleum Cocos nucifera. It is a proprietary siddha medicine which is specially formulated with both polar and non-polar actives prepared through a unique process.
Vitiligo, popularly referred as leucoderma is a hypopigmentary disorder of the skin. The skin colour becomes amelonotic (albenoid).
It has special adhesion power on vitiligenous skin which is very smooth and discoloured. The ointment base for the treatment of Vitiligo must have unique and selective adhesion on the depigmented skin providing an extra barrier to the depigmented skin. Such adhesion also ensures complete and sustained release of the actives.
Tolenorm ointment is recommended for vitiligo and hypopigmentary conditions.
