Hello, Since your baby was born premature, she is, prone to frequent infections. Follow doctors advice to the T and exclusively breast feed her to develop her strong immunity.

You should believe in your doctor. However, I may say, take some ayurvedic herbals of aushadh garbh sanskar regimen for fit and fine and intelligent foetus. My baby is 11 months completed and his weight is 9.7 kg.since 5 days he passing watery motion with mucous only once a day. Had fever and vomit for 3 days but not now. Still passing watery motion. He is not eating anything like before. Have consulted local paed. He prescribed ofloxacin suspension and ORS. Can I feed him formula and cerelac? Pls help me to recover.

You may continue prescribed medicines but avoid feeding with bottle.Cerelac or any home made weaning food should be given every 2-3 hours.

Hello doctor. My baby's birth weight was gud. But now as she is 24 days old, she has lost more weight. My paed advised me to feed her 2 hrs once for 20 mins. But my baby wants her to feed every 1 hr at least for more than 30 mins. When I told about this to my paed. He said that we should follow 2 hrs rule only. Or else the weight will reduce and if the weight is not increasing in a week, we should give formula milk only. I'm totally confused. please help me. I want my baby to be in breast milk only. What is the correct method of breastfeeding? Should we feed in both sides for a single time? What should be the interval between feedings and for how many minutes should we give? What can be done to make the baby get the full fat milk?

I will suggest you to see that your baby s stomach to be full whenever you give breast milk and her weight should increase on its own unless until she is suffering from any disease.
