ZAPIZ

Zapiz contains clonazepam which is essential for treating seizures and fits in epilepsy, sudden attacks of fear, and panic disorders resulting from depression and anxiousness. Clonazepam comes from a family of medicines known as benzodiazepines which enhances the action of the signalling chemical known as GABA in the brain. This in turn calms excessive nerve activity in the brain. Some of the unwanted side effects of this medicine are frequent urination, drowsiness, dizziness, clumsiness or unsteady hand and feet movement.

The international guidelines for treatment of panic disorder are ssri's - a group of antidepressants to be taken for 3-6 months as a course. Inderal and zapiz are only palliative or temporary solutions not a cure for panic disorder.

The treatment prescribed is correct, please follow the drug regime. Some patients require therapy for longer duration, if you are stable with medications do not stop them abruptly.
Speak to your psychiatrist about the course of the disorder.

You seem to have panic disorder but the treatment you are on can only give you relief of panic attacks for a duration of few hours after taking the medications. You need to be on a proper medication to treat panic disorder. Please consult a psychiatrist, who can help you with your problem.

it is unfortunately true that ocd is one of the most difficult problem to treat for the doctor and to experience for the patient. I think you should get full knowledge about ocd first. I suggest the website www. Nimhans. Ac. In, you can find a link for ocd clinic and material for general public.
