About Eva Q Syrup

Lactitol is primarily used for the treatment of constipation and hepatic encephalopathy. It is a synthetic disaccharide. It is similar to a lactulose-like glucose molecule that contains galactose and sorbitol.

On using Lactitol you may experience side effects such as vomiting, nausea, dyspepsia, loss of potassium, muscle cramps, headache, flatulence, and abdominal distension. Seek the advice of your doctor if your reactions become severe and do not show any signs of getting better.

The dosage for Lactitol should be determined by your doctor based on your medical history, age, response to theory, and current condition. However, the usual recommended dosage in adults is about 15-30 ml per day. The medication should be taken with meals. If no adverse reactions are seen then the dosage may be increased to 60 ml per day. Consult your doctor before making any changes to the dosage.

Before using this medication inform your doctor if you have galactosemia and intestinal obstruction. If you are taking any prescription or non-prescription drugs, you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding a baby.
