Thumb Sucking Habit!

If your child is above 3 years and still sucking his/her thumb then its time to intervene and break the habit. Else it leads to changes in the growth pattern of the jaw, malalignment of teeth and affects speech[lisp].

To break the habit you can

1] give rewards.

2]bandage around the thumb or elbow or finger

3]finger guard

4]punishments as in no TV or playing

5]get fixed crib on teeth by your dentist.
