Gum Disease increases risk for Diabetes, head and neck cancers, Alzheimer's disease, pancreatic and kidney cancer, heart disease, stroke, Low birth weight infants, Respiratory tract infections, Rheumatoid Arthritis and many other diseases. So treatment of same is necessary as soon as it comes to notice. Usually treatment of gum disease involves Complete Scaling (Cleaning) of teeth or in severe cases may require periodontal surgeries. So to prevent getting Gum disease get yourself checked by a dentist every 6 months. Also ask your dentist about proper brushing techniques............Thanks & Regards,,,,,
