Cancer and Symptoms!

Sore throat is very common and since cancer is a serious disease, we find it difficult to associate them as symptom and syndrome. But in actuality, sore throat that takes a lot of time to heal should be something to be concerned about. Skin repairs itself very quickly and sore throats should heal within a week or so but if it takes longer than that to heal then it is best to visit a doctor.

Stridor is noisy, high-pitched, harsh breathing. It can be wheezing or a vibrating due to the upper airway being blocked. It typically occurs while inhaling but can also happen while exhaling. Stridor is not a problem itself but is a sign of an underlying problem and can be a symptom of lung cancer.

Pelvic or abdominal pain, upset stomach and pain during sex are all symptoms of ovarian cancer. Other symptoms include bloating, urinary urgency or frequency, fatigue, back pain, constipation and menstrual changes.

People consider a mole to be an asset because it supposedly increases the beauty of one's face. But the mole associated with cancer is anything but beautiful. If you have a mole that is irregular and asymmetrical in shape, has irregular and jagged edges, is of a more than one colour, is bigger than 7 mm in diameter and is itchy, then you immediately book an appointment with a doctor.
