Clobetasol belongs to corticosteroids. It works as an anti-inflammatory by inhibiting the metabolism of arachidonic acid by inhibiting phospholipase A2 thus inhibits the production of inflammatory mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes. Salicylic Acid is an antiseptic agent and a keratolytic. It enhances the absorption rate of clobetasol and also breaks the keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells and softens the skin.
