This medication is an orally active androgenic steroid (AAS). Also, a dihydro derivative of testosterone (DHT). It is the male sex hormone and a weak androgen. Also, it is used in the treatment of hypogonadism in men. This is a condition where the testes is not able to produce enough testosterone. It is also used by bodybuilders to temporarily improve vascularity and to maintain libido off-cycle.
