About Propygenta Cream

Propygenta which belongs to the glucocorticoid class of medication acts as a steroid and is composed of Betamethasone and Gentamicin. It treats various rheumatic disorders such as systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis. Many skin diseases including psoriasis and dermatitis. Being a corticosteroid, it works by decreasing inflammation and modifying the body's immune response to various conditions.

    This medication is composed of Betamethasone and Gentamicin. Betamethasone is a potent glucocorticoid with minimal mineralocorticoid action. It decreases inflammation by inhibiting the migration of leukocytes and reduces the permeability of capillaries and inhibiting prostaglandins and other inflammatory mediators. Gentamicin belongs to the class aminoglycosides. It works by binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosomes thus inhibits the protein synthesis in the bacteria and stops the growth of the bacteria.
