CILACAR

Cilacar is known as a calcium channel blocker which is recommended for patients who can face vascular damage generally caused by hypertension. This medicine which comes in the form of tablet is given to patients diagnosed with high blood pressure. Side effects may range from dizziness to palpitations, to flushing, eye pain, lethargy, headache, rashes, chest pain and abnormal liver function.

Uses

Cilnidipine is used for treating high blood pressure (essential hypertension).

Side Effects

Skin rashes, flushing, depression, impotence, abnormal liver function, irregular heartbeat, trembling and shaking, dizziness, increase in the size of gums, low blood pressure, pain in the muscles, laziness, fever, headache, transient blindness, eye pain, increased urination

Expert Advice

Don’t stop the consumption of this drug suddenly if you have angina (sensation of chest pain or pressure). Don’t continue if you experience ischemic pain following administration.

How it works?

Cilnidipine belongs to calcium channel blockers class of medication which blocks the motion of calcium channels that are present in the blood vessels and heart muscles. It relaxes the blood vessels such that the heart does not have to pump hard. It also escalates the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart.

Tmt was positive so I consult cardiologist on 8.8. 15. Angiography was done and found single vessel disease 99% blockage in LAD. Angioplasty done. PTCA+STENT (XIENCE V3.0?18mm) done on 8.8. 15. Doctor prescribed me ecosprine150 clopilet 75 bd. Cilacar 5 bd nebi 2.5 od xtor 40 od pan d and angispan tr 2.5 bd. Now I am not feeling well. Left side chest burning sensation and discomfort. Right side chest and abdomen heaviness. Right leg burning sensation. Blurred vision and depression. What I have to do please suggest me and the medicine which I am taking is correct or not.

I am 60 years female having uncontrolled hypertension and asthma. Dr. Prescribed me cilacar t 1 od nebicard. 10 1 bd. Minipress 7.50 1 bd. Dytor 10 1 od arkamin 1mg! bd. Duolin 4 puff. Tiova 2 puff. Budecort 200 2puff. Daily. Patient have edema. Please advice.

Duolin is a reliver drug and should not be taken daily. Budecort 200 is very less dose and need addition of laba for good effect. Better get stepped up dose for asthma after consulting a resp. Phy. Get echo done to r/o col pulmonale which may be a cause for oedema. Nebicard though a selective drug and said to be not aggevating asthma, but better to avoid it or reduce its dose.

Pain in penis when passing urine. Burning sensation in feet and hands sweeling legs and hands. Urine culture and sensitivity report- no growth of any microorganism. X-ray k. U. B- report-renal outline are well made out. Uroflometry report- normal voiding pattern. Prostate specific antigen (psa ii): 0.53 ng/ml. Rt. Kidney: measures 95mm and a 52x33mm size cyst noted. Lt. Kidney measures 107mm and a 26mm size cyst noted. Prostate measuring 43x32x38 and weight is 28 gms. Blood sugar: pp - 107 & fasting 102. Creatinine: 0.87 mg/dl. Taking medicines: metzok 100, atorlip f, deplatte a 75, tazloc ct80 & cilacar 20 for heart problem and alfoo 10 for uro. Problem. But no result.

I have gone for Off pump CABG surgery on 31/10/2006 with grafts: LIMA to LAD, RIMA to major diagonal, SVG to OM ( Anterior & posterior division ). Now I am taking the following medicines: Cognixplus, Olmezest 20, Cilacar 10, Rozavel 10, Angizem CD 90mg, allercet DC, Stresnil0.5, A-Z Tablets, Colvac, Clavix AS75 mg,, Co Q-10, fish oil 600 mg with 300 mg Omrga-3. Is there any side effects in the said medicines?

Dear sir, I am 45yrs old diabetics from last 12 yrs now started blood pressure also and always its coming 160/100. Currently taking following medicine. Huminsulin 18"14. Glymy 2 forte 1"1. Cilacar 20 1"1. Telsar beta 50 1"1. Prazoexcel 5 1"1 ecosprin 150 1 extor -10 x1 but not much more improvement in my health. Kindly advise.
