নোভেলন ট্যাবলেট (Novelon Tablet) গর্ভাবস্থা প্রতিরোধ করার জন্য মুখের মাধ্যমে গ্রহণ করতে হয় এমন একটি গর্ভনিরোধক হিসাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। ওষুধটি ডিম্বস্ফোটনের প্রক্রিয়াকে রোধ করে কাজ করে এবং গর্ভাশয়ের মধ্যে শুক্রাণু চলাচলের উপর প্রভাব ফেলে এবং ডিম্বকের সাথে মিলনে বাধা দেয়। এই ওষুধের ঝুঁকি থাকার কারণে ১৮ বছরের কম বয়সীদের এই ওষুধ সেবন করা উচিত নয়।

নোভেলন ট্যাবলেট (Novelon Tablet) prevents the fertilization of the egg with the sperm. It also induces changes in the hormonal levels contributing to the prevention of pregnancy. The drug also enters the cell passively and binds to the progesterone receptors found in the nucleus. This affects the gene transcription process.
