ব্রোমহেক্সিন ট্যাবলেট শ্বাসনালীর মধ্যে শ্লেষ্মা বা কফকে পরিষ্কার করতে সহায়তা করে। এইভাবে ওষুধটি বুকের মধ্যে বদ্ধভাব এবং বুক ব্যথা থেকে মুক্তি দেয়। এই ওষুধকে মিউকোলাইটিক হিসাবে শ্রেণীবদ্ধ করা হয়। এটি শ্লেষ্মা ভেঙে কাজ করে যাতে কাশির মাধ্যমে কফ সহজে উঠে আসে।
