About Tryblue 0.8Mg Injection

Tryblue 0.8Mg Injection is available as a solution. It is used as a medical aid to selectively stain tissues in a patient undergoing eye surgery. It stains the anterior capsule of the lens. It is usually administered as an injection into the anterior chamber of the eyes.

Adverse effects could include discoloration of lenses that have a high water content, and accidental staining of the posterior lens capsule along with the vitreous face. The latter case, i.e. staining of the posterior lens capsule along with the vitreous face does not last very long, it appears to be self-limited, and generally lasts for up to a week.

It is highly recommended that post surgery, all the medicine should be removed from the eye by thoroughly irrigating the anterior chamber of the eye.

Tryblue 0.8Mg Injection is contraindicated when the lens which is planned to be inserted into the eye is in a non-hydrated or dry state, and is a hydrophilic acrylic intraocular lens (IOL). Such lenses may absorb this medication and hence become stained by it.

There have been no reports of any serious side effects on infants, children, nursing or pregnant women, and elderly people. It is safe for use.
