International Yoga Day is observed on 21st June every year to spread awareness about the importance and effects of yoga on the health of the people. The International Yoga Day aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga. The United Nations General Assembly on December 11, 2014, announced that June 21 will be seen as International Yoga Day or World Yoga Day.
