 I am Dr. Shubhangi Adate. I am a gynecologist and laparoscopic surgeon. I am here to tell you something about PCOS, what we even called as PCOD that is nothing but polycystic ovarian disease. What exactly is it? a lot of people come to me everyday and ask me mera wajan badh raha hai madam, mere periods regular nahi hai, bacche hone mein problem ho rahi hai, pet mein undue weight gain ho raha hai. Why exactly this is? In my everyday practice one out of 10 patients I see which are of these categories, what exactly uski wajah se hota kya hai? Ismein the first thing is the male pattern hormones increase hote hain, which are the reason why you have excess of weight gain, abnormal baal aa jaate hain body mein, abnormal awaaz change hoti hai and irregular periods jo second cheez hai irregular periods iski vajah se there is difficulty ki aapko baccha hone mein problem hoti hai, third is increase in the blood sugar level jiski vajah se there are lot of chances of sugar ya diabetes in future. First thing what I will advise is lifestyle modification very important ye because of your abnormal eating habits, abnormal working patterns, late night working or junk eating ye sab cheezen bohot important hai jiski vajah se aapki lifestyle modify ho jaati hai aur iski vajah se PCOD mein problem hoti hai, second is diet agar aap ye diet jaise good healthy fish eating, non-veg eating, reduce carbohydrate diet, less of oily, fried eating ye sab agar aap kam karte hain to isse bohot help hoti hai, you have to be strongly motivated ki aap exercise karen jisse aapka weight loose ho kyunki weight loose hone se kafi sari problem solve hoti hai. Stress ek bohot important factor hai jo aaj kal ham hamare day-to-day schedule mein dekhte hain, long working hours, target achievement iska kahin na kahin you have a setback and you have to really think about it.

The last but not the least because of diabetes there is a problem ki aapko old age mein sugar ho, young age mein irregular periods ho sakte hain, reproductive age mein there is difficulty conceiving( baccha hone mein problem hoti hai) aur very old age mein endometrial carcinoma. To ye sari cheezen avoid karne ke liye what you can do is? have a good lifestyle, have a good diet, exercise regularly, stress ko dur rakho and mostly medication jo aapko har cheez mein help karegi.
