If you are elderly smoker with blood tinged sputum, loss of weight, any new lump in axilla, neck, fossa above collar bone then you may be suffering from lung cancer. Usually lung cancer is silent killer. Symptoms are often late to come probably in 3rd or 4th stage. Treatment may not help with longevity of life in late stages but they can be palliative to increase the quality of whatever life remains.
