SILODAL

Silodal is prescribed for male patients suffering from enlarged prostate gland. This drug is basically an alpha blocker that helps the bladder muscles relax so that the patient can pass urine comfortably and without pain. It is available in tablet form. The side effects for this drug include nasal allergy, loose motions, lack of sexual drive, low blood pressure and dizzy spells.

I am 72 years old. Now I am suffering from prostate gland enlarge. Last month my PSA 10, 90 after taking medicine silodal D 8 at night. After one month my PSA 6.87. I continue with silodal. Is there any other medicine require.

If your symptoms are better with it. No need to change or add on any other medicine. Continue with silodal d. Get your psa repeated every 3 months. If its raiseing then you may require biopsy also.

Dear Doctor, One tab in morning after breakfast for improving I am 68 years old. I have been taking SILODAL 8 mg to improve urine passage and relief of burning advised by Urologist since October 2013. My prostate size in test reports on Oct 2013 was normal 19 cc and PSA was .018ng/mL and pre void 250 ml post void 08 ml. I am managing urine passage with little obstruction at times with feeling to passing of left urine in bladder .overall feel much improved discomfort of burning and mostly flow is good .it is 3 years and 9 months I am taking SILODAL 8 mg .I am also taking aspirin with sugar and BP medicine for heart Conditions 40-50% blocks LAD ,CAD -SINGLE VESSEL. DISEASE as per angiogram in June 2005 with periodical review for this. Can I stop taking SILODAL 8 mg or it is to be taken on long term to help urine flow and for prostate health now. What are the long term side effects of taking this medicine Thanks

Please take tab himplasia by himalaya 1 1 chandnasav 15 ml 3 times a day with water then stop silodal 8 mg after 15 days.

Urine flow slow. Slight improvement with silodal 8. Motion (stool) urge with urine. Age 56. Male. Taking sartel am. Lopressor 50, r2 10.

Dear , your doctor has prescribed the drug so he must have investigated you with urine usg (kub) please post them here. But at the same time make sure you are not constipated and do not have fissure. It seems you have bladder outflow obstruction.
