RABIPUR

    Rabipur is an anti-rabies vaccine. This drug can be used as an active immunisation for pre as well as post exposure to a rabid animal. When used in the post exposure phase, it is usually coupled with rabies immunoglobulins. It is available in intra venous form to be administered as an injection. The side effects of this drug may include rashes, fever and hypertension.

if it is a stray dog bite you have to take Rabipur vaccine five doses.
Go to government hospital and onsult doctor for vaccine

If you had bleed from the wound, you will fall into category 3 dog bite. So you need to take an Inj Equirab or Human Immunoglobulin against rabies within first 24hrs for extra protection. Yes you need to also continue Inj Rabipur on 0,3,7,14,28 days. For any other queries please pm me

Rabies is due to a virus which is transmitted to human being by the bite of infected wild animals like wolve, jackals, fox, wild bat, dog, cat, monkey etc. The incubation period (the period between the bite and appearence of symptoms) may vary from 10-90 days. 1. If the pet dog has not been vaccinated, you have to go for anti rabies vaccination.
2. Take 3 injection of rabipur vaccine on 0 (day of dog bite, 3rd, 7th day of dog bite.
3. Keep the dog under observation for 10 days.
4. If it dies you have to take 2 more injections on 14th and 28th day.
5. If it does not die you don't have to take injection on 14th and 28th day.
6. Consult physician for further advice.

If the dog has not been vaccinated against rabies, you have to take 5 doses of rabipur vaccine starting on 0 (day of dog bite, 3rd, 7th, 14th, 28th days after consulting doctor. There is no food restriction.
