RABIPUR

Rabipur is an anti-rabies vaccine. This drug can be used as an active immunisation for pre as well as post exposure to a rabid animal. When used in the post exposure phase, it is usually coupled with rabies immunoglobulins. It is available in intra venous form to be administered as an injection. The side effects of this drug may include rashes, fever and hypertension.

A dog bite me yesterday. There is no major wound. There were few scratches. Do I need to take the vaccine. If yes then where. Please help me.

if it is a stray dog bite you have to take Rabipur vaccine five doses.
Go to government hospital and onsult doctor for vaccine

Hey, I got bitten by my pet (45 days old) and I got vaccinated twice (RABIPUR) and got TT. Now three more vaccination is left. Is it okay if I stop the vaccination process?

Hi i'm 28 yrs old. Female. Not married. I'm suffering from an allergy since 10 yrs. Took many treatments but no doctors can find wts the actual reason for itching if I rub then the rubbed place will started swelling. Since i'll get itching not on my skin but under the skin. Some docs said this is bcoz ~ due to more wbc== I took treatment for that & now it is n under normal. Some said ~ i've got food allergy but till now I was unable to find which food item is allergic to me. What i'm thinking is like I was bitten by centipede @ the age of 18.- not took treatment for that & was bitten by a psycho cat - I took treatment for 90 days (rabipur injection & along with some food restrictions). I'm literally fed up & intaking cetrizine still to get rid of itching. I heard that this cetrizine medicine will make our skin dry. And i'm experiencing it too with dry scales peeling of from my legs, thigh, bumbs, hip everywhere except my face & head. Feeling depressed to the core. Please suggest & help me out.

Change the brand of thyroxin. What is your tsh level? you can start tab histafree 180mg 1 at night-6 months.
Common food causing allergy r pulses, egg, brinjal, citrus fruits, tomato, fish---u have to b vigilant ie look after eating what your getting more symptoms.

I just bitten by a stray dog on the left leg above feet , above pin point portion of skin was got damaged, after 15 mins I consulted a doctor they have given me rabipur injection along with t.t ? And suggested me to take 5 injections in total, if I take the complete dosage suggested, Were there any problems?

If you had bleed from the wound, you will fall into category 3 dog bite. So you need to take an Inj Equirab or Human Immunoglobulin against rabies within first 24hrs for extra protection. Yes you need to also continue Inj Rabipur on 0,3,7,14,28 days. For any other queries please pm me

She was bit by a dog 10 days ago. On her 3rd rabipur dose, the injection gave her a reaction with very low bp and rashes all over body. She was admitted in icu for 4-5 days, now she is normal after being discharged. But ever since she was relieved from icu, she is facing with some normal problems like she has a bad pain in her stomach after eating something heavy, also she sometimes feel weakness, she always say she can not feel normal and energetic she used to be before. What's the actual problem she is facing? Its been 5-6 days since she has been discharged from the hospital.

Sometimes body takes time to come back to normal after acute illness. Though the worse phase is over, body will take a it's time to normalise. Till then take care of your diet, take lots of proteins, fruits and salads.
Drink plenty of water.
Do not exert much.

Hi. My age is 25. I had a dog bite on 27th March. I consulted a doctor on 28th and he prescribed to take ARV (Medicine name: RABIPUR) course (0/3/7/28 day). I took the first dose on 28th and my next course is on 31st. After surfing the internet, I am confused whether I should take the 4th dose on 28th day or 14th day from the first dose. Thanks in advance.

Total five doses of rabipur vaccine has to be taken on 0 (day of dog bite- 1st dose), 3rd day of dog bite, 7th day of dog bite, 14th day of dog bite and 5th dose on 28th day of dog bite.

I was bit by a street dog in connaught place Delhi. It scratched my hand and a bite mark in my leg. I do not have money for vaccination right now. What should I do. What are the chances of the dog being rabid? How do I know I have rabies or not?

Rabies is due to a virus which is transmitted to human being by the bite of infected wild animals like wolve, jackals, fox, wild bat, dog, cat, monkey etc. The incubation period (the period between the bite and appearence of symptoms) may vary from 10-90 days. Sir I was bitten by my pet dog while playing. Should I go for anti rabies vaccination or not. My dog is fine.

1. If the pet dog has not been vaccinated, you have to go for anti rabies vaccination.
2. Take 3 injection of rabipur vaccine on 0 (day of dog bite, 3rd, 7th day of dog bite.
3. Keep the dog under observation for 10 days.
4. If it dies you have to take 2 more injections on 14th and 28th day.
5. If it does not die you don't have to take injection on 14th and 28th day.
6. Consult physician for further advice.

I was advised to take anti-rabies injections on days 0, 3, 7, 14 and 28 due to a cat scratch which left a deep wound on my left leg resulting in bleeding, I missed the 3rd dose on day 7, should I take the remaining doses or should I repeat? On day 0, I took Rabipur injection and on day 3, I took Xprab antirabies (XPRAB 150IU INJECTION)

Repeat the course, if you have missed the 2nd dose. You should take 5 doses of rabipur vaccine as per schedule rabipur vaccine.

Hiii mam. I played with our dog. Dog bitted me in left finger. I gone to government hospital and I took injection. Doctor told to come 4 days and put injection. Still I took 2 injection. Mam can I have non veg for eating. Pls reply mam.

If the dog has not been vaccinated against rabies, you have to take 5 doses of rabipur vaccine starting on 0 (day of dog bite, 3rd, 7th, 14th, 28th days after consulting doctor. There is no food restriction.
