GESTIN

    Gestin belongs to the category of synthetic progestogens and is prescribed to patients to reduce the chances of miscarriage or premature labour. The recommended dose is one 5mg tablet, three times during the day. The dose may be taken with or without meals. Women suffering from digestive issues are advised to take the dose with meals. The medication may cause side effects like headache, breast changes, fatigue, fever, and skin rashes.

Get serum beta hcg test for pregnancy confirmation. If it is negative go for scan to rule out the cause. If it is positive, then also go for scan to rule out gestational age of the fetus, cardiac activity and to get corrected expected date of delivery.
