TAXIM

Taxim contains cefixime which is a known cephalosporin antibiotic known to treat bacterial infections like that of nose, throat, lungs, chest and sinus. It is also prescribed to women diagnosed with UTI or urinary tract infections. This antibiotic works on the bacterial cell wall and kills the bacteria eventually. Side effects like breathing problems, skin rashes, headache, vaginal infection, wheezing and stomach upset are common in patients who take this medicine.

My girlfriend is being diagnosed with pelvic inflammatory disease. She is in her 3rd week of medication. She usually get her periods on 12th but this time she saying that shes not feeling it from inside and my not get it on time. The medicines are taxim (antibiotic, gramocef,combiflam and pan 40. Is it possible that her periods could be delayed because of the medicines? Please advice. your advice will be appreciated.

Delayed period is not because of medicine, wait for 1 week and go for pregnancy test if you had sex.

I had uti 30 days back and took taxim o 200 mg twice a day for 5 days and got cured, on visiting a doctor. Now again i got uti, can i take taxim or same dose ? is it okay to take antibiotic again in a gap of 30 days?

It is better to get urine culture and sensitivity test and take antibiotics accordingly to prevent recurrent infections. Also please check your blood sugar level.

I am 24 year old suffring from prostatis. Doctor done my urine routine show 2-3 puscell in urine. He gave me ofloxion 400mg for 3 months. After done the cource. 50%symptom are gone but not fully. I go to another uroglist. He done my seemen anylisis show 10-12 puss cell in sperm. No growth in culture. Doctor give me levofloxion 500mg for 4week. Dear, prostatitis is difficult to cure infection
that means it will take probably 4 to 8 weeks of antibiotic trearment to get rid of it.
And do not worry both ofloxacin and levofloxacin are the same class of drugs with some differences but both of them would serve the same purpose and it should get better with another 2 weeks of antibiotics

My 3 months old baby is pooping after feeds. She is being provided with both breast milk and formula feed. Earlier she was made to poop by using hot water and the texture of poop was thick and like butter and had a bad odor. But few days before her poop was little watery and contain seed like substances. And the poop did not smell bad and it was bright yellow in color. She is urinating frequently and is very active. She was already given a shot for loose motion. I have consulted doctor and she gave taxim o drops for five days. But still her poop is the same. What might be the reason.

Ms. Lybrate-user pooping in babies is common probably it is due to reflux make sure you feed your baby in upright position. Burping after feeds and formula is mixed in right proportion. It should get alright by 6-12 months of age.

Sir / madam, I am 66 years of age. My right ear drum has a small hole and I am advised for tympanoplasty. But as I could not get enough time I could not undergo the operation. In the meanwhile I was called to bangalore by my daughter to look after my grand son as she came back to india from germany. Here the same ear is continuously watering and pus is coming out. The doctor here although gave me medicine, but it has not subsided. Please advise me strong medicine to stop the oozing, before I go back to mumbai by the end of this month. The medicine prescribed is i) tab. Taxim - o 1 bd, ii) neosporin - h ear drops ( which are not available anywhere ) / candibiotic ear drops, iii) tab lorfast am 1 at night and iv) nasiion nasal drops. U can start tab. Augmentin 625 mg three times a day for 1 week and oflobe-d ear drops 3-3-3. Keep ear dry (avoid water entry into ear while bathing).

My daughter has a fever for the last 40 days, but not continuously, gap of 3-4 days. Max temp. Is 100. Her age is 13 years old. After taking pcm tablet it becomes normal in 10 minutes. All tests i.
