DUOLIN

Duolin is used for treatment of bronchospasm and is prescribed to persons suffering from problems of asthma, wheezing, tightness of chest and shortness of breath. It contains two active ingredients that help in reducing the bronchospasm. Duolin should not be given to persons having allergy, heart diseases, diabetes, or pregnant and lactating women. It can cause side effects like headache, tremor, dryness of mouth and palpitations.

Duolin is a reliver drug and should not be taken daily. Budecort 200 is very less dose and need addition of laba for good effect. Better get stepped up dose for asthma after consulting a resp. Phy. Get echo done to r/o col pulmonale which may be a cause for oedema. Nebicard though a selective drug and said to be not aggevating asthma, but better to avoid it or reduce its dose.

Its better to have gap of some hours between inhaler doses as other wise there is more chances of its systemic absorption causing its levels higher in blood that can produce side effects such as tremors and low potassium levels etc.
