- Altraday is prescribed for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, or spondylosis. This drug reduces the creation of prostaglandin in the body and helps in curbing fever, inflammation and joint pains. It is available in capsule form. Side effects may include short term memory loss, flatulence and belching, diarrhoea and dizziness. It also weakens the immunity system slightly and increases the chances of contracting infections.

Hello . As you are telling I can get a fair idea that you mother is having vertebral compression fracture. If there is nothing neurologically, I mean no sensory loss or power or bladder and bowel dysfunction then you can continue with the same treatment. Vertebral fractures pain a lot and also take time to heal specially at this age. You need to wear back support for long time (exact duration can be commented only after looking at xray.
