I rhink you should consult your oncologist. In esophageal cancer, cough occurs due to multiple causes, which are not simple alleviated without specific treatments.

Most cases of food pipe cancer occur in people over the age of 60. The earliest symptom of the disease is a difficulty in swallowing food. Those diagnosed at an early stage have a better chance of getting cured. Treatment can slow down the progression of the disease or ease symptoms. Sir, my mother age 70 is suffering from esophagus cancer since August 2016. 3 cycle of cisplatin and 5fu followed by 23 radiation ends on February 2017. From may 2017 she feels sometimes occasional problem in swallowing food.in December 2017 endoscopy done suggest s 6 cm squm cell carcinoma which was confirmed in may 2018 pet scan results 5.9 cm mass met. To skeleton. Now last 10 days she is unable to swallow food and food gets stuck in her esophagus results vomiting with lots of mucous. From may 2017 she continuously taking medicine. Oflox400 and enzoflam tab as prescribed by doctor. Initially these medicines are helpful in swallowing but now even Water is painful while swallowing. She become very lean and thin. Sir what are the options and what should I do for better quality of life.

Sorry to know about your mother suffering. From what I guess unable to swallow is troubling her more .For that there are options of either to insert Endoscopy guided Ryles tube (food pipe) or Esophageal Stent. If the above not possible then there is another option of doing a small surgery to insert a tube directly into the Jejunum that known as Feeding Jejunostomy. Please discuss all the options with your Oncologist for better guidance.

He should be given pain killers from where he gets treatment . Ultracet is a good pain killer in severe cases like this

Hi Dr, My grandfather suffering from esophagus cancer. He is not able swallowing the food, so drinking fruit juice kind of intake. After intake in few min he is gel kind of saliva coming out like vomit. Is it possible to stop this? As he is 82ys doctor advised not to operate or chemo therapy. So we giving some Ayurveda medicine. Please advise is the saliva continuously come, or any possible to stop this? He is not vomiting? Is it common issue?

Have you tried changing your diet along with the medication? Are there any other symptoms you are experiencing?
H pylori usually causes gastritis and ulceration. In most cases, taking antacids helps with the symptoms. Long term unhealed ulcers may shape up to become cancerous. Having an endoscopy done and if required a biopsy is not harmful.

Hello! My grandpa had esophageal cancer had has undergone a surgery one year back but we did not do the chemotherapy as her age is 65 above. Now she experiences loss of appetite, vomiting, regurgitation, indigestion, weakness. Doctor said that some part of her digestive tract has swollen up so are there any chances of growth of cancer cells once again?

wrong conception
broncho vascular prominence means cough n cold repeatedly in some intervals.
lately it converted in to COPD OR ILD MEANS CAPACITY OF RESPIRATION DECREASES.
LASTLY IT DECREASES TOO MUCH THAT PETIENT HAVE HUGE DIFFICULTY IN RESPIRATION SO OXYGEN SATURATION BECOMES LOW N LOW THAT LEADS TO DEATH.

Hello, I used to smoke. I started smoking in 2016 when I was 16 years old. Later in 2020 I stopped in lockdown and after that, did occasionally only until 2022. I started doing almost daily in 2022. I was doing it until jan of this year. I sometimes did 4-5 cig a day and sometimes not even one. I stopped doing smoking now with a fear of oral cancer. All of my friends smoke. Is it okay to sit with them in a smoking cafe or place? I read somewhere that second hand smoke can cause cancer. I am starting to do regular exercise but what about oral cancer? I will not smoke with them for at least a year now.

I am 52 years old. I have stage 4 pancreatic cancer spread to liver (adenocarcinoma). I have taken 6 cycles of chemotherapy and there was a break for 2 months. Recently I had some internal bleeding due to oesophageal varices and banding done. After that there was ascites in the peritoneal cavity. latest ct scan shows cancer cells are found to increase in liver and peritoneum. I have developed jaundice with 4.7 bilirubin.
