Of course it will affect your baby. Your baby will be reactive to all your feelings and actions. Anything that affects the mother has a direct bearing on the well being of the unborn child. Talk to your husband and gynecologist to find ways of sorting out the problems at home and finding some peace for the sake of the child. If you are happy, the child will also experience it and will feel good. Get excited, learn all about child rearing and get some special information from your gynecologist to foster good feelings. Every thought and feeling that you go through is communicated to the child and that child must feel wanted and awaited with all the excitement possible. That is your responsibility. Meet with a counselor to discuss the family situation and if necessary you could move to a separate home and live peacefully. Even if it a temporary arrangement, it is worth it.

Hi. There are four main factors which causes acne: Oil production Dead skin cells Clogged pores Bacteria Factors that may worsen the acne: Androgen hormones, certain medications (drugs containing corticosteroids, androgens or lithium can worsen acne), dietary factors, including dairy products and carbohydrate-rich foods — such as bread, bagels and chips — may trigger acne and Stress can make acne worse. Management: Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 20 days. For dry palms, use Schwabe's Skin Care bathing bar and Aloe vera cream regularly daily, use cream after every hand wash. Avoid frequent washing of hands with harsh soap which makes your hands dry sp. dettol soap!

I am constantly fighting with overweight size due to certain medical conditions. Am currently trying to work on my belly fat which has increased drastically after pregnancy. Is liposuction a good option. As no amount of exercising & dieting is helping much.

Hye. Thanks for the query. It is very possible that you are not eating the right foods at the right time. With PROS you must understand that if the right nutrients don't go in, you further disturb the hormonal balance leading to further deposition of fat. Usually post pregnancy weight and fat gain is due to poor nutrition, over stress and lack of physical activity. Mind you running around the child is not physical activity but a stress to the body in absence of the right nutrition. Liposuction is just a short cut and last resort for a person whose fat accumulation becomes life threatening. Also it's going to last only as long as you take care. If you still don't manage a healthy lifestyle you will gain back again. You have to decide with your doctor whether it's a required option. There’s no overnight fix when it comes to healthy weight loss, but you can adjust your lifestyle to promote quick, natural weight loss for the benefit of your health and your appearance. Successful, long-term weight management needs to focus on more than the food you eat and the pounds you lose. It needs to focus on your overall health. Reshape your body and your lifestyle by adopting healthy habits and breaking unhealthy ones. Replace all processed foods in your diet with vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low-fat dairy, lean meats, eggs, legumes, nuts, seeds and seafood. Focus on the variety of whole, unprocessed foods you can eat instead of dwelling on the junk food you eliminated from your diet. Eat smaller portions at every meal and avoid going back for seconds. Take a smaller scoop of rice,  half of a piece of chicken instead of a whole piece and one less egg in your morning omelet, for example. Make time for breakfast every morning. Eating breakfast helps prevent overeating and is a habit of people who successfully lose weight. Pack to-go meals instead of eating convenience foods when you’re not home. Store foods like chopped fruits and vegetables or cooked grains, legumes, eggs and meats in your refrigerator so you always have something to grab when you’re in a rush. Buy fresh vegetables and fruits from the grocery store if you forget to bring healthful food from home. When you can’t avoid dining at a restaurant, opt for a salad as a starter, and always ask for the dressing on the side. Clear soups, lean meats, seafood and grain-based dishes like roti, whole grain bread are other good choices. Exercise for 30 to 60 minutes at least three times per week to build muscle and burn more calories. Pilates, strength training, aerobics, swimming, dancing and yoga or a sport like football are ideal choices. If you’re new to exercising, start with brisk walking and jogging. Adopt physically demanding hobbies like bicycling, hiking, jogging, power walking to promote faster weight loss. If you don’t have time for new hobbies, increase your physical activity with things like walking the dog, playing with the kids or jogging instead of driving to a nearby store or taking the stairs instead of the elevator.

Back pain at your age is usually due to strain. Medications will give relief, they will not heal the problem. Try resting (lying down) for a few days, go for walks at least 1 hour a day afterwards.

Good Afternoon ~ Being chronically ill and having to take medications for the same or having to depend on doctor visits or other persons in the family is quite a challenge and I am so very glad that you have brought this issue up on this forum. Depression can be caused by having long term or chronic illnesses that are treated and controlled. Treatment of the depression is essential in the recovery of whatever medical problem you have that you are worried about always and encourage you to speak with your primary care giver to be able to get a referral to a psychiatrist.

Hi to gain weight you need to combine a balanced eating pattern with regular physical activity. You should be eating at least 6 small meals a day, rather than sticking to 3 square meals. You could divide it as 3 main meals and 3 snacks. You need to be eating every 2-3 hours. Space out snacks during the day so you don't spoil your appetite. Bread, cereal, rice, whole wheat, dalia and pasta: biscuits, and corn-bread are good sources of carbohydrates. Fruits: dried fruits, fruit nectars, and large quantities of fresh fruits vegetables: include, potatoes, peas, corn in your diet. Meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, and nuts: beef, pork, lamb, poultry, salmon, omelets, nuts, peanut butter, kidney beans, chickpeas will help you gain weight. Include dairy products like milk, yogurt, and cheese: milk, fruited yogurts, hard cheeses, ice cream, puddings, custards, milkshakes. -nuts and seeds make a healthy option for snacks. -roasted channas and peanuts are good -peanut butter on the sandwiches are a great mid-meal choice. -you must know that cereals actually contain some healthy calories. Stay hydrated: drinking plenty of water and other fluids like juices, milk, soups etc, will work in your favour. Do not drink water before a meal and in between the meal as it may make you lose your appetite, thus calorie intake suffers. Sleep: at least 8 hours of sound sleep is a must. Since your body is actually building up muscles, while you rest. Weight gainers have long term side effects.
