I am suffering from vertigo since last 20+ days. It improved a little gradually over 15 days but with a lot of sleep requirement. As it improved, I tried to get back to my daily routine of exercise (light exercise only) with 7-8 hrs sleep. Within 3 days, vertigo has again increased. I have consulted an ENT and Neuro already and both said nothing to worry. But recurrence is making me worried. What should I do?

Since you have been examined by specialists and nothing serious is there, relax and don't worry. Vertigo may take many weeks and sudden movements can worsen it so continue medication and restricted activity.

Hello Doctor, I have lost 50% of my hair over the last six months period and I do not see any new hair coming even after following good deit. I have been applying egg white thrice a week from 1.5 months but I don't see any use of this. I am very scared and worried of this situation. Is it possible to regrow my hair back with any medicines or home remedies? If so please suggest them. Does onion juice really help in regrowing hair back? Or if the only way to regrow hair is through transplantation then suggest me how to choose the clinic. Thanks in advance.

I am 24 year old and working 10 hours sitting job I am suffering from back pain from last 2 months. Please suggest what should I do?

DNB, MBBS
Orthopedist, Delhi
Hi, this is Dr. Hitin mathur from new delhi. Welcome to lybrate. As far as your back pain is concerned it may be on account of 2 reasons- 1) your posture and job profile if prolonged sitting is causing excessive pressure on your back vertebra leading to pain. 2) your vitamin d levels may be low on account of low sun exposure due to your indoor job. So get your vitamin d and serum uric acid tests done fasting and an x ray of ls spine ap and lateral view. The x ray should be done empty stomach in the morning and tab charcoal 4 tabs and tab dulcolax 3 tabs should be taken at bedtime the night before the x rays. The tablets are to clear the bowel to get a clear x ray picture. Revert back with reports. In the meantime you can start tab zinase d 3 times a day after meals, tab pantocid 40 mg's once a day before breakfast and tab corcium k2 once a day on the evening. You can also learn spinal extension exercises from a physiotherapist and start doing them 3 times a day 20 mins each session. Avoid prolonged sitting, weight lifting and forward bending. Hot fomentation with hot water bag can help. Revert back with reports.

The principal symptoms of dengue are: -high fever and at least two of the following: -severe headache -severe eye pain (behind eyes) -joint pain -muscle and/or bone pain -rash -mild bleeding manifestation (nose or gum bleed, petechiae, or easy bruising) Watch for warning signs as temperature declines 3 to 5 days after symptoms/fever began, as this is the most dangerous period when platelet counts decline significantly. Report immediately to hospital if any of the following warning signs appear: -severe abdominal pain or persistent vomiting -red spots or patches on the skin -bleeding from nose or gums -vomiting blood -black, tarry stools  -drowsiness or irritability -pale, cold, or clammy skin -difficulty breathing There is no specific medication for treatment of a dengue infection. -Use analgesics with acetaminophen (crocin or dolo -650 mg) and avoid those containing ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin or aspirin containing drugs. -Take rest, drink plenty of fluids like coconut water, lime water etc.to prevent dehydration. -Avoid visiting heavily populated residential areas, if possible. -Use mosquito repellents/mosquito nets when indoors.  -When outdoors, wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants

I have a desk and last 2years weight 60kgs to 55 kgs down my weight I want gain my weight please help.
Hi to gain weight you need to combine a balanced eating pattern with regular physical activity. You should be eating at least 6 small meals a day, rather than sticking to 3 square meals. You could divide it as 3 main meals and 3 snacks. You need to be eating every 2-3 hours. Space out snacks during the day so you don't spoil your appetite. Bread, cereal, rice, whole wheat, dalia and pasta: biscuits, and corn-bread are good sources of carbohydrates. Fruits: dried fruits, fruit nectars, and large quantities of fresh fruits vegetables: include, potatoes, peas, corn in your diet. Meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, and nuts: beef, pork, lamb, poultry, salmon, omelets, nuts, peanut butter, kidney beans, chickpeas will help you gain weight. Include dairy products like milk, yogurt, and cheese: milk, fruited yogurts, hard cheeses, ice cream, puddings, custards, milkshakes. -nuts and seeds make a healthy option for snacks. -roasted channas and peanuts are good -peanut butter on the sandwiches are a great mid-meal choice. -you must know that cereals actually contain some healthy calories. Stay hydrated: drinking plenty of water and other fluids like juices, milk, soups etc, will work in your favour. Do not drink water before a meal and in between the meal as it may make you lose your appetite, thus calorie intake suffers. Sleep: at least 8 hours of sound sleep is a must. Since your body is actually building up muscles, while you rest. Weight gainers have long term side effects.

I wanted to do skipping can you suggest please how many skips to do per a day and my age is 15 and im 5 foot 8 inches.
Hye. You can do skipping as much as you can and as much as your body can manage. You need to start gradually. You need to include workouts to strengthen your back leg arm muscles as well. Skipping can be a part of an all round exercise routine eg. 50 to 200 repetitions in your exercise routine. Skipping can be a good workout routine as far as you do it correctly with the right technique and you do not have any medical condition which calls for restrictions.

Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G. I am facing with lipoma's all over my body in different sizes. How to get rid of them?

M.B.S.(HOMEO), MD - Homeopathy
Homeopath, Visakhapatnam
A lipoma is a growth of fat cells in a thin, fibrous capsule usually found just below the skin. Lipomas are found most often on the torso, neck, upper thighs, upper arms, and armpits, but they can occur almost anywhere in the body. One or more lipomas may be present at the same time. Lipomas are the most common noncancerous soft tissue growth. The cause of lipomas is not completely understood, but the tendency to develop them is inherited. A minor injury may trigger the growth. Being overweight does not cause lipomas. Lipomas usually: are small [0.4 in. (1 cm) to 1.2 in. (3 cm)] and felt just under the skin. Are movable and have a soft, rubbery consistency. Do not cause pain. Remain the same size over years or grow very slowly. Lipomas do not generally require treatment. Because lipomas are not cancerous growths and cannot become cancerous, they do not need to be removed. There is no known treatment to prevent lipomas or affect their growth. Homeopathy medicines help in the following ways: the remedies make the growth soft. Treatment relieves localized symptoms like pain and pressure. With homeopathy the size starts reducing gradually. The growth starts becoming flat and gradually disappears with medicines. Homoeopathy considers lipomas as a local expression of a systemic disturbance. So removing them surgically will not treat the defect in the system. The medicines act on the immune system of the body, treats the defect which causes a lipoma and reinforces the immune system so that the patient does not suffers again with lipomas in the future. The remedies cure from the root assuring the patient of not facing the similar problem in future.

Cloudy urine may indicate the presence of mucus, pus, or blood. Alternatively it can be due to sediment that forms when some of the constituents of urine, such as phosphates or urates, form tiny crystals. It can be some uti or even semen loss with the urine. Dear, you must be able to understand concentration, attention span, recollection and distraction. If you are able to watch a movie for two hours continuously, if you are able to play a game for an hour, then you do not have any concentration problems. You can't be attentive towards your studies because you are not interested in it. You are able to watch movie and play game because you are interested in it. Human cannot be attentive towards anything for more than 10 minutes. Then you should study in such a way that your attention is continued and make the subjects are interesting to you.
