Dengue fever is caused by a mosquito. This is the same virus that causes Yellow Fever in Africa. The greatest risk of this disease is in India, South China, Mexico, Africa and the Caribbean. The symptoms include a sudden and very high fever, chills, fatigue, nausea and vomiting. Skin rashes and some amount of bleeding may also take place in this condition.

General physician diagnoses Dengue fever through a simple blood test that checks for the presence of dengue viruses.
HOW IS DENGUE TREATED?
Dengue fever does not have any specific treatment or vaccine for prevention. Pain relievers may be given for relieving muscle and joint pain and headaches. People affected with the fever should consume a lot of fluids. Anti-pyretic drugs may be given for reducing fever.
