Eating disorders happen when a person is either eating too frequently or is taking meals lesser times in a day. This directly affects the nutritional intake of a person thereby affecting the person’s health in an adverse manner. Mostly people having an eating disorder do not realize it and they continue to face its ill effects. HOW IS EATING DISORDERS DIAGNOSED?
Eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness. For women aged between 15 to 24, the mortality rate of anorexia is 12 times higher than any other cause of death.
