Water intake is a must in winters too. Like summers we don't feel thirsty. Symptoms of dehydration in winters are having dry mouth, dry eyes, cracking of lips, low blood pressure, excessive weakness and lethargy (this leads in poping up multivitamin pills).

People believe in having more tea and coffee in winters which acts as a diuretic and increases your urine output, making you more dehydrated.

How to increase water intake-
1. Morning reminder of having two glasses of water. Later it will become your habit.
2. Prefer herbal tea instead of normal tea. Increase the intake of milk. Curd, lassi
3. Veggies like broccoli, green leafy vegetables especially spinach, tomato are 80-85%full of water.
4. Fruits like berries, strawberries, apple, pineapple, orange's all rich in water content.

Who all are at risk of dehydration
1. Young children, elderly people
2. Those suffering from chronic illness
3. Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus

Persons having sore throat, tonsils, loose stools are vulnerable to develope dehydration.
