Common cold can cause pain in the upper back teeth. This is because the roots of these teeth are very close to the maxillary sinus which is involved in sinusitis. So, a person suffering from sinusitis can experience tooth pain even in the absence of any problem in the tooth as such.
The usual measures to treat sinusitis are sufficient to help cure the tooth pain in such cases.
