Hi,

I am Dr. Punit, today we are going to discuss the impact of summers on our skin and how to take the preventive measures for the acnes. So as summers are coming, we might have summer skin problems related to this weather. So most of the humans face acne vulgaris jise hum popularly mohase ya pimples bolte hain and it is the most common problem amongst the youth, adults age group. So this acne or pimples is a very wide variety of presentations from very tiny lesions called comatose or the open pores or closed pores to very big lesions which are called nodular cystic acne. So chote se lekar bade lesions tak hote hain aur inhi hisab se hum inhe acne ko grade karte hain and accordingly we treat acne as per their grades. So today we are discussing preventive measures rather than the treatment, hum sirf bachav ke tareeke aapko bataenge taki hum kaise bach sakte hai, kya hamare khaan paan me parheej hona chahiye, weather se hume kya bachav lene chahiye ya hume cosmetic se kaise bachna chahiye.

So let's start with preventive measures: the first preventive measure is washing your face kyunki summers mein we sweat more, hot and humid environment mein hamare sebaceous glands bhi bahut active hoti hain so hamara face bahut oily hota hai, along with the pollution this creates an ideal environment for acne or pimples. So we should wash our face frequently at least two or three times a day as per required even more. So hume bahut hi gentle face wash use karna chahiye so that ki jo bhi grease ya dirt aur sweat ya kuch makeup hamare face par jo ikhata ho jata hai use hum clean kar sake. Second, we should not wear the oil based foundations or some other cosmetics rather we should switch over to the cosmetics which are non-comedogenic and non-greasy in nature which means ki koi bhi aise cosmetics jo hamari skin ko oily karte hain hume avoid karne chahiye aur water based products use karne chahiye be it your sunscreen, be it your moisturizer.

Also, we use foundation which you know clogs your pores, to pores ko block karne vale foundations hume lambe time tak skin pe nahi rakhne chahiye especially when you are going to sleep hume use clean karke hi we should go to sleep. Second, we come to the hydration part we should maintain adequate hydration, hume pani ka intake apna badhana chahiye. The third thing is we should avoid high calorie foods especially the processed milk products ya jo diary products hote hain unhe hume avoid karna chahiye like chocolates, pastries, ice cream chuki acne ke piche ek bacteria pathology bhi hoti hai which is called propionibacterium acne, so the more calories we consume, the acne bacteria this bacteria will get more calories to grow. In some females who have mensus irregularity jinhe hormonal imbalance hota hai they should get checked from the gynaecologist.

Bahut si females hoti hain jinhe polycystic ovarian disease hota hai jisme ki jo androgens hoti hain, male hormones ya testosterone hota hai that goes high to that ratio is altered and unme male pattern features develop hone shuru ho jate hain. To sirf acne hi nahi, aapko male pattern hair growth shuru ho jati hai, chin ya fore locks pe ya side locks pe aapko male pattern thick baal aane shuru ho jate hain. Aise cases me acne bahut hi resistant hote hain, unhe theek karna thoda sa mushkil hota hai so hume PCOD ka test karana chahiye, apne gynaecologist se and we should get it checked and then consult all these problems from your dermatologist.
