Rainy Season And Its Food
One has to be very cautious regarding one's diet and lifestyle schedule in each season which help to maintain health in particular season.
Keeping our body healthy and cool is a major challenge during rainy season. As this time immunity level goes down and even digestive ability suffers a lot because of high humidity levels in the atmosphere which results in more susceptibility towards infection, allergy, indigestion etc. Humid condition invites various diseases by offereing suitable culture for growth of different bacteria and germs. One should have food which can improve immunity level in body at the same time suits digestive system.
-Eat seasonal fruit which give energy and antioxidants.
Avoid fruit juice especially from street vendors, try to have fresh one prepared at home, preferably have fresh raw fruit after thorough wash.
-Rely on seasonal green veg available with simple recipies. It is best to avoid leafy vegs during this season rather go for tinda, torai, ghia capsicum, beans etc.
-Avoid table salt, bakery products, processed food, high salty food as they are going to cause water retention.
-Try to avoid fried food and rich recipies as metabolic rate and digestive system is too delicate to handle it during this season. It can also cause allergies and reaction like pimples, acne etc.
-Any food item that had a long exposure to air must be avoided.
-Big no to non-veg.
-Especially avoid street food, chat, gol gappa, fruit juices and where water is being used to avoid chances of infection from bacteria and insects
-Dont let the humid and rain make you crazy. Gear up yourself with exercise schedule and sweat extra moisture and harmful bacteria.
