Pruritus Vulvae!
Pruritus vulvae:-
Pruritus vulvae is itchiness of the vulva.
Causes:-
1.) vulva irritation can be caused by any moisture left on the skin. This moisture may be perspiration, urine, vaginal discharge etc.
2.) it may be caused by vaginal infections, vulvitis, HPV (human papilloma virus) infection, anal incontinence.
3.) dietary irritants (caffeine, potatoes, chilli, capsicum, tomatoes, and peanuts).
4.) treatment with antibiotics can lead to a yeast infection and irritation of the vulva.
5.) some diseases increase the possibility of yeast infections, such as diabetes mellitus.
Sign and symptoms:-
❄ ulcers or blisters on the vulva.
❄ pain or tenderness.
❄ genital redness or swelling.
❄ trouble in urination.
❄ an unusual vaginal discharge.
Homeopathic treatment:-
1.) Sepia:- It is prescribed in cases when there is itchiness that is not relieved by scratching, causes soreness and swelling of the labia minora, vulva and vagina, heat in the genital area and excoriation of the vulva.
2.) Calcarea Carb:- In cases where the discharge worsens after passing urine or where the discharge is accompanied by burning and itchiness is the genitals.
3.) Pulsatilla:- Vaginal candidiasis that is characterised by a creamy vaginal discharge.
4.) Thuja:- This is used to treat vaginal candidiasis accompanied by excessive soreness and ulcers in the vulva and vagina.
5.) Nitric Acid:- It is helpful in cases where a stitching pain is prominent and there is a complain of irritation in the genital area. A white vaginal discharge may also leave behind a yellow stain.
