Hi,

I am Dr. Sarika Verma, ENT Specialist I am going to speak about ENT diseases and allergies. Ear problems are present as deafness or earache. The common causes are wax and ear infection. So, please do not neglect any of the problem related to the ear. Sudden hearing loss needs immediate intervention. It is treated within 24-48 hours, chances of hearing can come back. For earache, anti-biotics are good to treat it. We do a few tests to diagnose and treat the patient. A lot of patients come with nasal blockage, postnasal discharge, episodes of severe headaches. This often is the sign of sinusitis. We do CT scan in a few of the cases to check the problem.

Then we do the surgical intervention. Nasal polyp which happens in your nose. We do the CT scan to diagnose. We do the medication and surgery if required. Allergies also include sneezing, breathing problems, asthma, swelling of the lips and cheeks and urticaria. If a patient is found to be allergic, we tell the patient food to avoid, we give immunotherapy. Throat infection and change in the voice we advise medication to resolve. We also do a painless test called endoscopy. Change in a voice which is more than 10 days, definitely needs to be investigated. Because is may also lead you to cancer. Any lumps near the neck like small or large need to be investigated properly.

Thank You.
