Pericarditis refers to the swelling and irritation of the pericardium, which is a thin saclike membrane surrounding the heart. The problem of pericarditis causes chest pain and certain other symptoms. When the irritated layers of the pericardium get rubbed against each other, that leads to sharp chest pain. It starts off suddenly but does not last long. Pericarditis is considered to be chronic, when the symptoms tend to persist for a considerable amount of time.

The heart pump is housed in a sack called pericardium. If it becomes inflamed it is called pericarditis. There may be chest pain of fever. Sometimes heart rate becomes fast, specially when the inflammation causes fluid collection in sac, restricting the filling of heart chambers.

Continuous intake of painkiller can damage kidney. For pain you can take tramadol which will very less toxic effect to kidney. Get dose of medicine adjusted. Do deep breathing exercise to relieve anxiety and in turn pain.

To be honest, one injection will mostly not cure the illness. Ankylosing spondylitis can be a disabling condition leading to many problems. You will need physical therapy along with other medication as well as clinical assessment and other blood investigations. The duration of treatment will ultimately depend on the disease severity which will be clear if you consult an orthopaedician/rheumatologist for the same.
