Male Infertility - Ayurvedic Therapy In Improving It Naturally!

The male infertility is a major problem and wherein multiple factors play a vital role in it. Many things like diet, yoga are essential for the better human reproduction. Moreover, the Ayurvedic therapy has multiple treatments to improve the male fertility as discussed in this article.

Role of Diet in improving Male infertility
Diet plays an important role in the human reproduction. Some specific type of nutrients is vital for the male fertility. Various researches are done in this field which concluded that certain diet affects the fertility and lead to a better health of child too in future. Diet which is high in fats and low in protein affect the health very much. Also, the sperm is affected by the wrong diet, which leads to damaging the sperm DNA.

Following are the recommended diet to improve male fertility naturally.

  1. Diet like eggs, spinach, bananas, dark chocolate, asparagus, broccoli, pomegranates, walnuts, garlic, beans, citrus fruits, all types of berries, whole grains, oatmeal, avocados, wheat grass, sweet potatoes, yellow fruits, milk.

  2. Vitamin A: Protein food such as meat, fish, eggs, lentils, peas, beans, nuts, brown rice, sunflower and pumpkin seeds.

  3. Vitamin B6: Vitamin B6 is essential for the formation of male sex hormones. Its deficiency causes infertility in male. The main source of vitamin B6 is yeast, whole grain, nuts, brown rice, meats, egg yolk, fish, seeds and green leafy veggies.

  4. Vitamin B12: Low level of vitamin B12 causes abnormal sperm production. The diet like lamb, sardines, salmon, fermented foods that contain bacteria is a rich source of Vitamin B12.

  5. Vitamin C: Fruits contains vitamin C that prevents damage from free radicals. It is needed for the healthy production of sperm and it also increases sperm count and motility. Citrus fruits, rosehips, cherries, cantaloupe, strawberries, tomatoes, black carrot, mangoes, grapes are rich in vitamin C.

  6. Folic Acid: Needed for sperm production count, motility, morphological abnormalities and aids in the absorption of vitamin C.

Role of Yoga in Improving Male Infertility
Yoga has many health benefits and it also impacts the fertility as well. According to various studies, certain poses and series of exercise in yoga reduce male infertility and boost the hormone production. Additionally, Yoga improves the blood circulation in the body and, it makes you physically strong and relieves stress which aids in improving fertility.

Following are some of the yoga asanas which helps in improving male fertility.

  1. Halasan

  2. Agnisaar kriya

  3. Aswani mudra

  4. Dhanurasan

  5. Bhasarika pranayama

Ayurvedic Therapy and Medicines in Male Infertility -

Treating male infertility in the Ayurvedic therapy requires some changes in lifestyle too. In Ayurvedic therapy, the male fertility is treated by Panchakarma therapies which releases a great amount of mental and physical stress. The other method is a cleansing therapy used in Ayurveda. If the infertility is because of infection, then medicine like Gokshur and Triphala are useful. Following herbs are recommended to treat male fertility in Ayurvedic therapy.

  1. Ashwagandha: It reduces mental and physical stress, a tonic for nerves and helps in sexual disorder like erectile dysfunction and oligospermia.

  2. Musali: Is valuable in impotency, premature ejaculation and low sperm count in male.

  3. Kapikachue: Is potent antioxidant and reduce oxidative damage to sperm by preventing disruption on in the membrane integrity of sperm useful in low sperm count.

  4. Shilajit: An excellent restorative and rejuvenating tonic, ensure good physical performance and lead to balance hormones.

  5. Gokshur: Research has shown that protodioscin is an active principle from the herbs Gokshur is converted to DHEA, which is a precursor of testosterone and thus improve sexual desire and sperm production.

In addition to these, there are many other ayurvedic herbs which play important role in improving male fertility.
