Keep fit and active - keeping fit help to maintain your blood pressure, sugar and weight in control that reduces the risk of Chronic Kidney Disease.

Keep regular control of your blood sugar level - Uncontrolled blood sugar level causes chronic kidney disease. People who have diabetes must control their sugar level by diet control, Yoga and increase physical activity.

Monitor your blood pressure - High blood pressure also causes chronic kidney disease. Prolonged uses of medicines that control your blood pressure also cause CKD. So try to maintain your blood pressure by YOGA, exercises, morning walk and strict diet plan.

Eat healthy and keep your weight in control - it helps in preventing obesity, diabetes, heart diseases and other conditions associated with CKD.

Maintain a healthy fluid intake - we should consume at least 1.5 to 3 liters. of water and other fluids per day to maintain good health.

Don’t smoke – Smoking slows the blood flow to the kidneys. When less blood reaches to the kidney, it impairs their ability to function properly.

Don’t overuse of painkiller medicines - Overuses of common no steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen can lead to CKD.

Get your kidney function checked if you have one or more risk factors -

A. You have diabetes

B. You have hypertension

c. You are obese

D. one of your parent or other family member suffer from kidney disease
