Before considering IVF consider the following factors to achieve 100% success rate.

Age: Your age and using your own eggs plays a very important role in determining the success rate. Younger women- below 35 age have higher chances of IVF success. As the age number increases the chances of conception with own eggs decreases. As older women have lower egg production and the quality also become poor.

Previous pregnancyIf you have been pregnant before with the same partner with whom you will do IVF treatment, than the chances are high of getting pregnant. Factors like different partner and miscarriage can reduce the chances of conceiving.

Types of fertility problem: Male infertility problem can have a huge impact on IVF success rate. Factors like uterine, abnormalities, exposure to DES or fibroid tumour can also decrease the chances of successful IVF treatment. IVF success rate depend on ovulation. Ovarian dysfunction may reduce the chances of IVF success. In case both the partners are infertile, then duration of infertility periods decides the success rate. The success rate decreases with time.

Use of egg donor: Factors like quantity and quality of egg, age of the donor, health condition of the donors etc. determines the success rate of IVF. Young donors will give high rate of success in conceiving. Also if the fresh donor egg or embryo transfer results in increasing the chance of getting pregnant.

Lifestyle matter: Don’t keep any bad habit if you want 100% result from IVF. Improve your lifestyle, overweight women finds it difficult to conceive as well as there are chances of miscarriage. If you are smoker, quit at least three months prior because

  • Smokers require higher dosages of fertility drugs to stimulate their ovaries.
  • Smokers have lower implantation rates than non-smokers.
  • Women who smoke require almost twice as many IVF attempts.
  • Women who smoke experience more failed fertilization cycles. Hence, if you want IVF to be successful I one go, focus on your health.

Fertility Clinic: Always research and choose the best clinic for the treatment. Consider following factors before choosing a clinic:

  • The training and experience of the IVF clinic and staff.
  • The live birth rate per IVF cycles started.
  • The rate of patients getting pregnant.
  • The laboratory used by the clinic and the qualifications of their staff.
  • The types of patients accepted at the clinic, more specifically their age and fertility problem.
  • The training and experience of the IVF clinic and staff

  • The rate of patients pregnant with multiples (twins, triplets or more)
  • The laboratory used by the clinic and the qualifications of their staff
