    With its antibiotic properties, coriander counters the effects of viral fever. To make a coriander tea, boil two cups of water and add a teaspoon of coriander seeds to it. Add sugar to this solution and wait for it to cool down. Strain out the seeds and drink twice or thrice a day.

  3. Cool down with water and a washcloth:

    Since there is no real way to get rid of fever the best solution is to get the body temperature back to normal. To do this, get clean washcloths and soak them in cool water. Place this wet washcloth on the forehead or under the arms of the person affected by the fever. Keep checking his/her temperature with the thermometer. The fever should subside within a few hours.

  4. Ginger:

    Ginger possesses antiviral and antibacterial properties that help to fight against any infection. Ginger also helps to boost the immune response of our body. You can consume raw ginger adding to your salad or you can drink ginger tea.

  5. Apple cider vinegar:

    Apple cider vinegar is acidic that helps to draw the heat from the body and lowers the temperature. Apple cider vinegar also contains vitamins and minerals which help to boost the immune system.

  6. Garlic:

    Garlic contains sulfur compounds that show antibacterial and antifungal properties. Garlic has a warm nature, it increases sweating, and lowers the body temperature.

  7. Take rest:

    Giving rest to your body helps to promote the immune system to fight against the infection causing fever.

  8. Add some spices to food:

    Spices help to make the body warm and you start to sweat which results in lowering of body temperature.

  9. Drink plenty of fluids:

    Body uses more water during fever to lower the body temperature which leads to dehydration. This loss can be replaced by taking a lot of fluids.
