Garlic is a wonder spice that not only enhances the taste of a dish but is also known for its immense medicinal properties. From consuming garlic cloves to its external use, every application of this spice comes with a health benefit. Similar to green or organic tea, drinking garlic tea is also known to work wonders on your body. 

Benefits of garlic tea

  1. The LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein) is a bad cholesterol that can spell doom for the heart as it can trigger Arteriosclerosis. Daily consumption of garlic tea can help lower down the LDL level significantly, keeping the heart healthy and disease-free.
     
  2. Garlic, scientific name Allium sativum, contains the active compound Allicin. Allicin comes packed with antibacterial and antifungal properties and is known to strengthen the immune system significantly. Thus, a cup of garlic tea can help shield the body from various harmful infections and pathogens.
     
  3. If you want to lose weight, make sure to include garlic in your diet.

Ingredients

Water - 1 cup

Garlic - 2 -3 cloves finely chopped

Honey - 1-2 teaspoons (optional)

Lemon juice - ½ a cup (optional)

Method of preparation 

Step 1 - Just boil a cup of water

Step 2 - Add two to three cloves of finely chopped garlic

Your garlic tea is ready to be served. If you wish, you can add honey and lemon juice to it.
