Yes, azelaic acid is used to treat post inflammatory erythema but used depending upon the indication (like in acne. But there are some side effects with its use which are commonly encountered by patients like burning sensation, dryness, peeling of skin etc. For that use a moisturizer first and after 30 mints use aziderm. Avoid sun exposure. Thanks.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
If the chalazion doesn't go away, you should seek help from an eye specialist. The chalazion may need to have the fluid drained through a small incision. You may also need an injection of steroids to reduce swelling and inflammation.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Hi Lybrate user,
it is normal if you notice some swelling or bruising around eye after chalazion removal surgery.
And some discharge is also there.
You can use cold compress on eye to reduce swelling.
And avoid # rubbing eyes # touching eyes
# getting water in your eyes when showering # wearing eye makeup.
All these symptoms can be very well managed by appropriate homeopathy medicines.
