Eat Healthy Foods to Reduce Pain
The disorder mainly involves pain in the joints and the two main types of arthritis are rheumatoid arthritis and osteo arthritis. The joints are affected in different ways and it is very important to reduce the pain and have a healthy and nutritious diet. The stress on the joints can be alleviated by exercising regularly and losing weight. It is important that anti-inflammatory foods are included in the diet as these help fight the condition. The foods that are beneficial and help to fight arthritis include Omega-3 fatty acids, walnuts, oranges, sweet peppers, broccoli, carrots, whole wheat pasta, cherry tomatoes, spinachgrapefruit, and blueberries. Apricots, apples, turkey and sweet potato can also be eaten. Foods that are low in fat and free from trans-fat must be chosen.

Foods to Avoid
The arthritis joints are irritated by inflammation and it causes swelling of the tissues. Foods that trigger inflammation should be avoided and these include dairy products, refined carbs, processed meats, simple carbs, saturated fat, white rice, pastries and pasta. Products with sugar and unhealthy fats must be avoided. It is also equally important to exercise regularly to avoid pain in the joints.
