Asked for Male, 74 years old from new delhi

I am on amiodarone 100 bd for bigeminy. Also I am taking monet gtn 2.6 bd, cilacar 10 bd, arbitel 40 in the morning. My blockage in lad is only 30- 40% on angiography carried out on 1/12/23 for increased bp. I have bigeminy since july 21 for which I was taking amiodarone 100 bd, but reduced to 100 od in april 23. Dm cardio in new delhi in december 1 asked me to continue on cordarone 100. On 10/1 /24, I had alternate skipped beats, for which I took cordarone 400 over a period of 2 hours in the evening, but emergency relieved me after 2 hrs because there I had come to sinus rhythm. Same occurrence of bigeminy occurred on 16/1/24 in the morning for which I took 3 cordarone over a period of 3 hrs. Emergency at apollo again relieved me after ecg only on advice from main cardiologist. On seeing him, he said continue with cordarone 100 bd and take 100 mg as sos. On 18th morning I had skipped beats after changing clothes. I took cordarone 100 again. Skipped beats are not there for 2 hrs. I have ibs and is on poor diet for some time. Can I take magnesium supplement. Will cardioversion be necessary. I am 74 male.

Health Query

My father is having 70% blockage in right carotid arteryâs and 50% blockage in left carotid artery before 2 years he used to black out frequently. We consulted neurologist and after doing carotid doppler test, as per doctors advice. He is taking clopitab cv 10 since last 2 years and levera 500. After taking these medicine, he have never blacked out again. Recently we did the doppler test again and the report is still the same. No reduction in blockage. Could you please suggest what should we do to reduce the blockage.

nothing can be done to reduce blockage except stenting. medicines wont reduce blockage, they only stop its progression

A normal ejection fraction is about 50% to 75%, according to the american heart association. A borderline ejection fraction can range between 41% and 50%.

Hello age-23 weight-85 kg height-5'8 last year I am on cycle steroids for cutting but it can not suit me and a blood clot was there is artery. I admitted in hospital and it was dissolved by doctors but currently I am on clopitorva 10 on alternate days. No, homeopathy can not help you. Don't stop your current medication, consult your doctor first. If your stop your medication there is chance you land up into same situation. May I ask is there stent used?

Severe heart blockage is typically that in the greater than 70% range. This degree of narrowing is associated with significantly reduced blood flow to the heart muscle and can underlie symptoms such as chest pain and shortness of breath. In the diagram above, an 80% blockage can be seen at the beginning of the vessel.

When one or more of the coronary arteries suddenly becomes completely blocked, a heart attack (injury to the heart muscle) may occur. If the blockage occurs more slowly, the heart muscle may develop small collateral blood vessels (or detours) for other coronary arteries to reroute the blood flow, and angina occurs.

Yes he can. But in case of symptoms like chest pain or breathing difficuty on exertion, he might need an angioplasty.

A block in the right bundle branch can occur in people who otherwise seem normal. If it happens with a heart attack, it can be a sign of serious heart muscle damage. A block in the left bundle branch is usually a sign of heart disease. Bundle branch blocks usually do not cause symptoms.
