ADULT VACCINATION.

When most of us were, born many vaccines which are available now were not available at that time. Many of these deadly diseases can be prevented by vaccines. When we all adults or adolescents, go to the pediatrician for the vaccination of our baby, we opt for the best and most costly vaccines. Most of the doctors and parents do not ever discuss adult vaccine preventable diseases .Mr. Amitabh Bachan had Hepatitis B disease after multiple blood transfusions after the trauma in the movie coolie. Now he cannot be cured but his disease is preventable. Now days we i.E. All adults can be vaccinated against Hep A, Hep B, M.M.R, Chickenpox, Flu, Typhoid, Tdap and Cervical Cancer only for woman. It is transmitted as HIV i.E. Blood transfusion, needle prick, sexual, and mother to baby. It is highly contagious and hundred times more common than HIV. It causes acute hepatitis (jaundice), chronic hepatitis (shirking of liver),hepatocellular carcinoma(cancer of liver).Hepatitis B is potentially fatal but we have an excellent vaccine that gives almost 100percent protection after complete schedule. Three doses at day zero, one month and six month is the schedule. One third packed syringes are contaminated but recycled. Any one of us may suffer an accident or may require hospital care. We do not know about the next injection or blood transfusion that we may get. Everyone must get hepatitis B vaccine.
