5 Habits to Quit Right Now

Some psychological habits are common but unhealthy. They limit your ability to think, perform, grow as an individual. 
Read about them below and become mindful if and when you practise them. 

1. Trying to please everyone
Saying no can be hard for many, and often this comes at the cost of ignoring your own emotional health. Establish a personal boundary for yourself, and make a conscious decision to take care of your needs if not more, at least as much as others. 

2. Fearing change
Change is inevitable, yet most people fear it due to uncertainties of future, and also a lack of trust in themselve to cope with the same. More often than not, the fear for change is amplified. Take little steps towards quitting this habit by embracing the changes in your life, looking forward to the upsides, and preparing yourself for the new.

3. Living in the past
Our past gives us a sense of familiarity, whether positive or negative. Be aware of what is taking you back into the past, and explore that professionally. The impact of holding on to negative memories makes it very difficult and tiring to move further in life. 

4. Putting yourself down
Being self critical with negative self talk, especially when your self esteem is already low will make you walk over your confidence level. Begin with self acceptance, and value your self worth. Create affirmative statements for yourself and begin working on project self confidence.

5. Over thinking
Thinking about an experience to learn from it is a healthy habit. But before you realise it, it becomes emotionally exhausting. Rerunning events, experiences, dialogues in your mind, or indulging in overthinking of any other kind, only makes you feel ‘stuck’ with the problem, in stead focussing on the solutions. 

Quit them today, and witness positive change and growth in yourself.
