Yes, you can give him most of the fruits. We just Reverse The Diabetes. Means we convert Diabetics to Non-Diabetics within 6 - 9 months permanently. After that one becomes absolutely normal. No medications after that and can enjoy sweets.

Is there any alternate substance to reduce intake of sugar, gradually and stop completely over the period of 4-6 weeks from now? Please suggest.

Is there any alternate substance to reduce intake of sugar, gradually and stop completely over the period of 4-6 week...
Mr. lybrate-user, The only alternatives for sugar are artificial sweeteners. But regularly using those is observed to increase craving for sugar, plus those are not really safe. Of late another substance by name Stevia a natural sweetener is available, which is claimed to be very safe and has multiple benefits, can be used. Best is to stop using sugar or other sweeteners totally. One gets used o the taste in time to come. Thanks.

HI, It is difficult to tell the exact duration. In some , the deposition may occur fast and in some it may be very slow. It also depends of the nature of the food intake. The more the intake of fats, the more faster is its deposition and blockage of the arteries.

Hi. I have thyroid related issues and facing the issue of hair loss from last 2 year what should I do?
You have mentioned you are having thyroid-related issues but not provided any specific details. Since you are on tab. Eltroxin, I presume you are suffering from hypothyroidism. Hair loss is one of the commonest symptom of hypothyroidism. I suggest you get your t4 and tsh levels checked.

Hye, Thanks for the query. Your blood sugar levels are very high. You definitely need to go in for a personalised diet consultation to avoid the long term negative effects. Diabetes is a health condition that affects your body's production of insulin, which is needed to control your blood sugar levels. When you eat, your body begins to store sugar in its cells, but as a diabetic, your body does not produce enough insulin to help control how much sugar is being stored. Spikes in blood sugar levels from eating can cause you to feel fatigued and lethargic, due to excess sugar in your bloodstream and cells. When enough insulin is once again produced to regulate your blood sugar levels, the glucose can be burned off as energy, thereby making you feel less fatigued. For a diabetic it is best advised to have a diet planned as per the sugar levels, lifestyle and history. Though you can follow some guidelines - The sugar levels will fluctuate depending on what you ate or did not eat, stress levels and activity levels. You have to try and manage a balanced carb intake. Have small frequent meals. Do not fast for long hours. You have to eat 3 main and 3 mid meals. Your diet must include whole grains, seasonal fruits, vegetables, small amounts of nuts and dairy and pulses or dals or lean meats like chicken or fish and egg. Starchy vegetables need to be planned into the diet. Avoid a very heavy meal at one time. Avoid fruit juices, aerated drinks or sugarcane juice, honey, jaggery or sugar. Avoid junk foods. Exercise and stay active. Avoid exercise if sugar levels are above 250 mg/dl. Do not attempt to try out too many remedies as you could go into hypoglycaemia. Sleep well. It's all a matter of discipline.

Mr. Lybrate-user, you can take green tea, but no honey. Green tea is good as it offers antioxidents. But honey containing fructose is not advisable in a diabetic person.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Post surgery it is very essential to control glucose levels strictly for quick healing as well as for prevention of long term complications. Usually after many years of treatment with oral drugs, many patients have to be shifted on to insulin for better control. If with current dosage glucose control is not as expected, then we will have to increase the dose of Insulin, both in the morning and at night. Ideally FBG <100 mg PP 160 to 180 mg. So to achieve those levels, there has to be a change in insulin dose. Plus we will have to also look at other antidiabetics that he may be taking. Thanks.

Mr. Lybrate-user, there is no special method or treatment to come out of that addiction. You have to just stop using it. It will be tough for some nights to get sleep. Looking at your height and weight it is clear that you have grade 3 obesity. It is better if you exercise regularly over 1 hour a day, that physical strain will make you tired and possibly quality of sleep will improve even without any drug. Thanks.
