What is a best exercise a 77 year old can do on a daily basis. Especially on scorching summer months I am having diabetes for the last 10 years also having blood pressure. Both under control by taking medicines and insulin 16 units one time in the morning.

Hye. Thank you for your query. Since you are new to exercise - brisk walking or yoga is the ideal exercise to begin with. Never workout if your blood pressure or sugar levels are very high. Avoid going for workout on a empty stomach or after a heavy meal.

My age is 47 and I am suffering from hairfall. My hair has become thin. I am having shampoo in a gap of 2 days but it is increasing gradually. I had also taken lot of homeopathy medicine but of no use. My head has become little bald. I am feeling very shy. I have also consulted dermatologist but this also in vain. Dear user, correct your posture first. Avoid forward bending, heavy weight lifting for few days, wear lumbosarcral belt. Use hard bed when you sleep. Take hot fomentation, apply pain relieving gel on back. Do lumbar spinal extension exercises. Change your position after every 45 minutes. Do it this protocol for 5 days and then revert. Thanks.

Cocaine Detoxification

Medical Detoxification is a process that systematically and safely withdraws people from addicting drugs, usually under the care of a physician. Drinking alcohol or using drugs can cause physical dependence over time and stopping them can result in withdrawal symptoms in people with this dependence. The detoxification process is designed to treat the immediate bodily effects of stopping drug use and to remove toxins left in the body as a result of the chemicals found in drugs and/or alcohol.

While at the present time, no proven pharmacologic therapy for cocaine addiction exists, several kinds of medications have been used in the detoxification of cocaine. Withdrawal from chronic cocaine use produces anxiety, depression and intense cravings for the drug. Several types of medications address these issues in different ways.

Antidepressant drugs such as desipramine or a combination of phentermine and fenfluramine have been used to reduce cocaine withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety and depression. Benzodiazepines, tranquilizers such as Diazepam, have been used to reverse anxiety induced by cocaine withdrawal. Amantadine, a drug used to treat Parkinson's Disease, may be an effective treatment for cocaine-dependent patients with severe cocaine withdrawal symptoms and may reduce cocaine craving. Bromocriptine, a drug that works on the brain's dopamine system, has been used to decrease the craving for cocaine during detoxification and to reduce mood disturbance.

Propanolol, a beta-blocker drug used to treat high blood pressure, may be useful for severe cocaine withdrawal symptoms, as it slows down the effects of adrenaline, thereby calming the body's "fight or flight" response to stressful situations. This type of drug has been used to treat general anxiety and anxiety associated with alcohol withdrawal. Propranolol's lessening of symptoms such as palpitations and sweating has helped reduce cocaine craving. Its use, however, is not risk free in patients who have taken cocaine and can be associated with decreased blood flow to the heart and other changes that predispose patients to arrhythmia and a severe increase in blood pressure that can lead to a stroke. Delayed toxic effects are possible. Any use of beta-blockers in this setting requires careful monitoring and caution

Hello,you can take homeopathic medicine Graphites 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and revert. Avoid spicy and fried food. Make a habit of 8-10 glasses of water daily. Avoid stress and anger. Avoid harsh skin products.

Hello. Gently move the razor on these areas. Medication: Start immediately with homoeopathic medication - Sulphur 200/ one dose daily in the morning for a week and a homoeopathic tincture called Arnica Montana and mix 1 tsp in 1/2 cup of water and apply upon the face on the beard and the mustache area with a cotton swab. Then use the razor movement technique as in 1 above. Repeat the above process every 3rd day and see the growth in 1 month. Take a red mushroom called ganoderma 5 gms. 2 times per day at 12 hours interval for 3 months.

Hormonal imbalance is very common in women who are about to reach their menopause. The remedy is helpful in cases of insomnia and empty nest syndrome, a syndrome when children leave home. This often coincides with change in a woman's life. Pulsatilla is very helpful for hormonal imbalance including during the menstrual cycle and peri-menopause phase.
  2. Cimicifuga: this is recommended for those women who suffer from severe headaches during perimenopause. The headaches are characterized by a pain in the right side of the neck, which often extends to the right shoulder. This remedy is also helpful in women who feel disappointed and trapped in their lives. Some women who have a feeling of being caged and surrounded by dark clouds also benefit from this. It is considered to be a perfect remedy for many women who experience hormonal changes at the menopausal stage of their lives.
  3. Sepia: this remedy is especially helpful for perimenopause and hormonal imbalances. This is helpful in women who feel exhausted and chilly. Sometimes a woman might develop an aversion to her family members especially the children and does not want to care for them. Sepia is known to help women overcome these feelings, enables them to reestablish stability and balances hormones. Some women also get a feeling that their inside are bearing out and get a sensation that their uterus and vagina might fall. This feeling and sensation is eliminated by sepia. Sepia is also helpful for the host flashes, dryness, vaginal irritation and moodiness during this phase of their life.
  4. Lachesis: this is indicated in the perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms like the night sweats and hot flashes. This remedy is capable to provide a relief from the occipital headaches associated with the changing hormones. Women who need lachesis might be witty, loquacious, nasty, crib and complain about the body pains which are more significant on the left side, like the left ovary discomfort. To gain weight it's important to have proper schedule and having right food at right time. Try to eat balanced diet with enough of good fats, carbs & protein in diet. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Taking only 3 meals will not be enough to gain weight. Avoid junk food. Include high calorie snacks in between your main meals such as dark chocolates, cakes, nuts, cheese, sweetened beverages, desserts. Help yourself with more of good quality protein sources in your every meal such as milk & milk products, soy & sprouts, lean meat, eggs, pulses etc.

You need to have diet plan based on your BMI & activities. Whatever we eat is metabolised by the body for the energy needed to do daily work and the excess is stored as fat. Abdomen is the first place to gain weight and last to disappear. In brief, Weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs / chest etc. To burn off fat. Some tips 1) Drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) Take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. As half of your diet. Then take 1/2 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. Should be just bare minimum. And do aerobic exercises, running, jogging or at least walking briskly 3-5 KMs and swimming if possible, and in a gym if feasible. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise & dieting to take just as mush food as needed for your activities. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests.
